Breast Cancer
Breast cancer research in the Discovery and Translation Labs at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida, is led by Sarah A. McLaughlin, M.D., and Derek C. Radisky, Ph.D. Research is organized around two central initiatives: prevention, which includes immunotherapy vaccines, people with a high risk of breast cancer and survivorship; and precision medicine, which includes novel targeted therapeutics, genetic profiling and experimental trials. These provide a comprehensive approach to prevent, detect, treat and cure the disease.
