Funding

With 40,000 square feet dedicated to imaging science, Mayo Clinic's Center for Advanced Imaging Research was supported with a $7 million gift from Mayo benefactor The Opus Group and a National Institutes of Health capital grant of $2.4 million.

The Opus Group is a national, privately held commercial real estate development company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As founder, Gerald Rauenhorst built a successful business and developed a strong relationship between his family, The Opus Group and Mayo Clinic.

The Center for Advanced Imaging Research demonstrates a genuine partnership and makes possible the discovery and development of new medical imaging technologies and integration of innovative imaging techniques into patient care.

Mayo Clinic gratefully recognizes The Opus Group for the foresight to advance the cutting edge of imaging and to provide the best tools to deliver high-quality patient care. Mayo Clinic honors The Opus Group and Mr. and Mrs. Rauenhorst for principal support of the Mayo Clinic Center for Advanced Imaging Research.
