Research
Projects
Research activities are directed by multiple faculty members who are based at the Center for Advanced Imaging Research (CAIR) in Mayo Clinic's Opus Imaging Research Building.
General focus areas include the:
- Advancement of new MRI acquisition and image reconstruction techniques
- Development of hardware including RF coils, gradients and magnets
- Application of new MRI methods including studies that may have a long-term clinical impact
- Use of MRI to understand disease progression
CAIR facilities allow design and construction of customized special purpose hardware and phantoms that might be appropriate for a specific research project.
For more information and details, see investigators' research biographies linked from our faculty page. In addition, MRI research studies at CAIR may be directed by Mayo Clinic investigators who are not centered in the Opus Building. This is generally done on a charge-out basis.
