Patient resources
Patients interested in cancer care at Mayo Clinic can schedule an appointment or have their healthcare professional do so. Patients also can contribute samples to a biospecimen repository and connect with patient advocates for support.
Mayo Clinic works with hundreds of insurance companies and is an in-network provider for millions of people. In most cases, Mayo Clinic doesn't require a physician referral. Some insurers require referrals or may have additional requirements for certain medical care. All appointments are prioritized based on medical need.

Tissue and biospecimen repository
The Fibrolamellar Tissue Repository, located at The Rockefeller University, is a tissue bank for fibrolamellar carcinoma samples obtained during surgery. The registry also stores blood and other samples from patients. The repository offers a way for patients to contribute to research. Donated samples may provide researchers with valuable clues that could help them better understand and more effectively treat fibrolamellar carcinoma, which is a rare form of liver cancer that mainly affects young adults.
