Jim Maher, Ph.D., Celebration of Research co-chair

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we co-chair the Mayo Clinic 2019 Celebration of Research for Rochester area high school students on February 26, 2019.

This daylong event promises to capture and hold the attention of students. Attendees will be introduced to careers in science, engineering, and medical research, and learn more about the breadth of research being conducted at Mayo Clinic.

Students will meet physician-scientists, researchers and lab technicians as they participate in observational tours and hands-on activities in Mayo research laboratories.

The keynote address will explore how Zebrafish are being used in research to explore genetic causes of human deafness.

Please review the schedule.

We promise a day of learning, interaction and insight into biomedical research and look forward to your participation.
