Education and Training
The Translational Neuroproteomics Lab offers a dynamic training environment for fellows, graduate students and undergraduates interested in uncovering molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration and developing new therapeutic strategies. Trainees gain experience with state-of-the-art proteomics, molecular biology and neuroscience approaches while contributing to cutting-edge research.
Mayo Clinic provides five-year internal fellowships with full tuition, stipend and benefits for all Ph.D. and M.D.-Ph.D. students. Prospective graduate students interested in biomedical research are encouraged to apply through Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
In addition, the lab participates in Mayo's mentored research education programs, including the Post-baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP), which provides 1 to 2 years of intensive training for those pursuing careers in biomedical science.
The lab also welcomes undergraduate students through the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program. These students gain hands-on lab experience and mentorship while contributing to ongoing research projects.
