Michael B. Phillips, M.D., has research interests in pharmacotherapy and preoperative medicine.

Focus areas

  • Pharmacotherapy and clinically significant effects of specific medications, such as tamsulosin, risedronate, granisetron and levofloxacin
  • Preoperative medicine, with a focus on preoperative medical examinations for ophthalmic surgery

Significance to patient care

Findings in both of these areas will help to foster awareness of side effects of medications, as well as further define best practices with preoperative examinations.
