Bhavika Patel, M.D., is a fellowship-trained breast imaging radiologist and clinical researcher committed to improving early breast cancer detection to save lives. With a background in economics, Dr. Patel studies ways to improve the current state of breast imaging through advanced imaging modalities, analytics and creative solutions to lessen disparities in breast cancer screening.
Dr. Patel combines advanced imaging and risk-based clinical tools with current approaches to breast imaging to improve patient outcomes with earlier detection of clinically relevant cancers while decreasing patient anxiety and costs involved with false-positive findings. Her background in economics and interest in global medicine informs her approach to studying and creatively addressing known disparities associated with breast cancer screening.
