  • Ultrasound-Guided Core Needle Biopsy to Stage Urothelial Carcinoma of the Bladder Rochester, Minn.

The purpose of this study is to use upper gastro-intestinal flexible echoendoscopes in radical cystectomy specimens to determine if EUS technology can improve the staging of Urothelial Carcinoma of the Bladder (UCB). In this study, radical cystectomy specimens with urothelial carcinoma will be interrogated with echoendoscopes and EUS-guided core needle biopsies ex vivo immediately after the bladder is removed, ensuring no risk to the patient.
