A Study to Assess Clinical Hypnosis for Treating Parasomnias

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of clinical hypnosis to treat parasomnias.

We plan to prospectively collected data on the frequency and intensity of REM and non –REM parasomnias prior to, 1 month following and 6 months following a session of clinical hypnosis.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • ≥ 18 years of age.
  • Willing to provide research authorization to contact them 1 and 6 months following the session.
  • Patients with a clinical diagnosis of REM or non-REM parasomnia referred for a session of clinical hypnosis.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients under 18 years of age.
