Health and Quality of Life Among Long-Term Lung Cancer Survivors
This study in the Epidemiology and Genetics of Lung Cancer Research Program at Mayo Clinic identifies factors that can affect quality of life for lung cancer survivors.
Through the Health and Quality of Life Among Long-Term Cancer Survivors study, participants with lung cancer are followed for up to 10 years. Data gathered over time enables the research team to create a profile of survivor well-being and to screen for factors that may affect the clinical long-term prognosis and quality of life (QOL) for people with lung cancer.
After identifying factors that affect overall quality of life or specific domain of QOL dimensions, effective interventions are tested, recommended and implemented.
