Summary

Neurohumoral factors and systolic and diastolic function in congestive heart failure

My laboratory is part of the Mayo Program in Heart Failure Research and includes both translational laboratory based research and clinical research. My interests include neurohumoral control of myocardial systolic and diastolic function in heart failure, isolated diastolic dysfunction as a cause of heart failure, biochemical markers of myocardial dysfunction, epidemiology of diastolic and systolic dysfunction, and the invasive and non-invasive assessment of diastolic function. My laboratory is funded by the NIH, National AHA, the Joesph and Jeanne Sullivan Foundation, the Miami Heart Institute, the Marriott Foundation and the Mayo Foundation.
