Senior Design Researcher, Center for Innovation, Mayo Clinic
Todd Wilkens is the design lead for the Healthy Aging and Independent Living (HAIL) initiative, a partnership between the Center for Innovation and Robert and Arlene Kogod Center on Aging at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He has more than 15 years of experience as a creative leader, researcher, strategist and designer in many different contexts.
Wilkens' work has focused on everything from supporting healthy aging to humanizing financial services and from creating collaborative spaces to understanding the complex overlap of youth, religion and culture.
Wilkens speaks and teaches about human-centered design and innovation internationally. He is co-author of "Subject to Change: Creating Great Products and Services for an Uncertain World" and a number of academic articles.
Before coming to Mayo Clinic, Wilkens founded and served as the studio director for the Austin, Texas, branch of Adaptive Path, a leading human-centered design and research firm.
