Shannon Sock

Executive Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness, Mercy

Shannon Sock is responsible for Mercy's transformational change initiatives that are expected to reshape Mercy's care model. Before being named executive vice president, he served as senior vice president of business development, leading Mercy's community master planning effort and bringing the Center for Innovative Care to reality.

Mercy's Center for Innovative Care combines people and technology to extend Mercy's reach and services beyond the walls of doctors' offices, hospital campuses and other traditional facilities.

He continues his current leadership responsibilities related to the Center for Innovative Care, care management, strategic planning and philanthropy. Sock participates in a variety of policy, strategy and decision-making processes while providing executive leadership in exploring opportunities to better use resources to meet current and future challenges.

Since joining Mercy, Sock's leadership has focused on major business and clinical transformation efforts ranging from the creation of an internationally recognized supply chain (ROi) to the implementation of health care technologies. Before joining Mercy, he worked in consulting for CSC Healthcare, focused primarily on performance improvement across a variety of health care settings.

Sock holds a master's degree in business administration, as well as Bachelor of Science degrees in engineering and public policy, both from Washington University in St. Louis.
