Mary Pat Moeller, Ph.D.
Mary Pat Moeller, Ph.D., is the director of the Center for Childhood Deafness at Boys Town National Research Hospital (BTNRH) in Omaha, Neb. After many years of clinical work, she obtained a Ph.D. in child language and deafness at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
With Dr. Bruce Tomblin, Dr. Moeller is co-principal investigator of a study on outcomes of children with mild to severe hearing loss, with study sites at the University of Iowa, BTNRH and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also directed a team at BTNRH in the development of a website, My Baby's Hearing, for families whose infants have been referred from newborn hearing screening.
Dr. Moeller led a consensus conference on family-centered early intervention practices in Austria and co-authored a document emanating from that conference. Dr. Moeller has published and lectured internationally on topics related to early development in children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
