Maria Bartiromo is anchor of CNBC's "Closing Bell With Maria Bartiromo" and anchor and managing editor of the nationally syndicated "On the Money With Maria Bartiromo." Both programs air globally on the CNBC network.
In 1995, Bartiromo became the first journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on a daily basis, and she has covered Wall Street for 20 years. Bartiromo joined CNBC in 1993 after five years as a producer, writer and assignment editor with CNN Business News.
Bartiromo has received numerous prestigious awards, including a 2008 News & Documentary Emmy for her "Bailout Talks Collapse" program and a Gracie Award for "Greenspan: Power, Money & the American Dream," broadcast on CNBC. She also won a second Emmy Award for her 2009 documentary, "Inside the Mind of Google," which aired on CNBC.
Bartiromo graduated from New York University, where she studied journalism and economics. She served as an adjunct professor at NYU Stern School of Business in the fall semesters of 2010 through 2012.
