Why did you choose research as a career?
Research gives me a different perspective on what I learned in medical school. It is challenging sometimes, but much fun most of the time.

The flexibility in selecting a mentor and the cooperative environment at Mayo Clinic.
Why did you choose the clinical and translational science track?
It provides an excellent combination of clinical practice and basic and epidemiological research.
What do you like about Rochester, Minn.?
It is a quiet town, but has enough fun places. People are really nice here.
What are your plans for the future?
To become a clinician-investigator.
