Why did you choose research as a career?
Research allows me to integrate science with medicine and the improvement of patient care.
What attracted you to Mayo Graduate School?
As an undergraduate student, I came to Mayo Clinic for a summer research internship. During that summer, I was amazed by the huge and diverse research community the clinic has and by how its research is translated into patient care.
Why did you choose the clinical and translational science track?
As a medical student and future doctor, it is an honor for me to be able to contribute to the medical knowledge with my work. I believe the clinical and translational science track provides the tools to do research that can be transferred to the bedside and that could impact the future of medicine.
What do you like about Rochester, Minn.?
It's a very safe city.
What are your plans for the future?
My future plans are to complete my medical training and in the future integrate my clinical practice with academia and research.
