Amy W. Williams, M.D., is a consultant in the Division of Nephrology & Hypertension at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and an associate professor of medicine in the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic. She is also vice chair of the Department of Medicine and a member of the Rochester Executive Operations Team at Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Williams has led a redesign of the admissions process and census management for all Mayo Clinic hospitals in Rochester, Minn. She is currently leading a project to design an accountable care model for patients with advanced chronic kidney disease. In addition, she has served on numerous committees focusing on education, practice redesign, diversity and faculty development.
Dr. Williams received her M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Her main areas of interest are chronic and acute renal failure and innovative renal replacement therapies.
