Program Type:
- 30-Month Master’s Program. Fully accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs.

Admissions:
Review of applications begins October 15.
Interviews: Admissions Committee requests selected individuals to come for face to face interviews at the individual’s own expense during the month of November.
Appointments: Applicants will be notified by the end of December.
Starting Date: The Monday following Labor Day.
Tuition & Fees: Total Mayo tuition and fees are approximately
$10,500

Year Total - $6650.00 – Billing September and March
- Second Year Total- $1750.00 – Billing September and March
- Third Year Total - $1750.00 – Billing September and December
Emphasis Course Tuition: An additional
$1,320 - $1,845 - second year September

Expenses:
- Housing, transportation, and parking are the student’s responsibility,except during 8 weeks off-campus rotation.

- Poster Cost approximately $100-$200 per student

- Certification Examination fee $700 (subject to CCRN’s charge)
- Insurance (subject to yearly institutional directive)
- Students must have Health Insurance for themselves.

- Documentation of Health Insurance is required throughout the Nurse Anesthesia program
TAXABLE STIPEND: During the final 24 months of the program, each nurse anesthesia student is provided with approximately $473.50 per month taxable stipend. The stipend amount and availability are subject to change.
BOOKSTORE:Discounted prices on required textbooks.
PERSONAL TIME OFF (PTO): 15 vacation days occur during the first 6 months of the program. Reoccurring absences during the first six months may necessitate withdrawal from the program. Total of 36 days PTO are accrued during last 24 months of the program. During the final 24 months 6 days of PTO per year are used for observed holidays, the remaining 12 days can be used for sick or personal leave. PTO during the last 24 months is accrued at the rate of 1.5 days per month. Time must be accrued prior to use. Personal leave must be scheduled with the Nurse Anesthesia program.
HOLIDAYS: The
Mayo Clinic observes the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day.
CALL: Starting with 1st Spring/Summer clinical rotations, approximately twice every three months, students will be assigned to a block of call. Students receive compensatory time off for weekend and holiday call.
FINANCIAL AIDS: Student loans and other financial aids are available through the Mayo School of Health Sciences, Financial Aid Office (507)284-4839.

ATTENDANCE: Mandatory class and clinical attendance. The Master’s Program is a full-time lock-step commitment.
SCHEDULE:Program is full-time commitment for class and clinical work.
OUTSIDE WORK:
Any employment involving the provision of anesthesia or anesthesia-related services will result in immediate dismissal.
Although outside employment is discouraged, students may seek non-anesthesia employment on a supplemental basis as long as:
- it does not interfere with the anesthesia program
- their academic and clinical performance is satisfactory
- employment does not occur during the eight hours preceding class or clinical assignment
Due
to the variable clinical hours employment during the
week is very difficult to schedule.
