Florida State College develops and facilitates the curriculum and didactic instruction for the Histology Technician program.
Rotations
During your clinical rotation at Mayo Clinic your rotation experiences include:
- Cytology
- Frozen section lab
- Human Leukocyte antigen (HLA) tissue typing
- Moh’s laboratory with focus on skin cancer
- Routine histology
Grading or Evaluation
Mayo School of Health Sciences uses evaluative tools that include:
- Demonstration of skills
- Self-assessment exercises
- Faculty reviews
Our system of evaluation provides students and faculty with a comprehensive look at individual performance, allowing students who are experiencing academic difficulty to be directed to appropriate support resources, including tutoring programs and counseling opportunities.
Students will also receive an evaluation through FSC.
