The Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) program admits six to eight students each year based on affiliation agreements with the University of Minnesota, North Dakota State University and South Dakota State University. The program also admits students who have previously completed a pharmacy internship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Applicants must be pre-approved by the Mayo Clinic Pharmacy Services Department.
Students must provide to their college of pharmacy experiential program director a request for an APPE rotation at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Your experiential program director will contact Mayo Clinic for approval of your request. If approved, you will be contacted by the Mayo Clinic Pharmacy Services Department and instructed to complete the online application process.
How to apply
- Students applying to the Clinic Outpatient APPE must be assigned to a rotation at Mayo Clinic Pharmacy through their respective college of pharmacy. The application and all supporting documentation must be received at least eight weeks prior to the start of the APPE rotation.
