Program Description
The Women's Health Fellowship Program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester provides a two-year postgraduate education experience consisting of one year of didactic course work toward a Certificate in Clinical Research or a Masters in Clinical Research followed by a year of multidisciplinary clinical care and research/scholarly activity.
The fellowship combines interdisciplinary training in the prevention and treatment of diseases prevalent in women, with immersion in the principles and practice of clinical research to develop leaders in the evolving field of women’s health and to improve health care outcomes for women.
Program History
The Women’s Health Fellowship began in 1997, and since that time, more than eight physicians have completed training. It is anticipated that one to two fellows will complete training in this program annually.
