Program Description
The three-year Rheumatology Fellowship Program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester offers you an unmatched opportunity to become an accomplished rheumatologist. During the program, you will learn and practice the fundamentals of rheumatology, but also will have opportunity to experience the depth and breadth of both clinical and investigative rheumatology.

Accreditation
The training program fulfills the requirements for training as stated by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Certification
You will be eligible to take the American Board of Internal Medicine’s subspecialty examination in rheumatology upon satisfactory completion of the fellowship.

Program History
The Rheumatology Fellowship began in 1953, and since that time, more than 100 physicians have completed training. It is anticipated that two fellows will complete training in this program annually.
