Support for Scholarship
Mayo Clinic strongly encourages scholarship and authorship. The Section of Scientific Publications is available to assist in editing and preparing medical and scientific manuscripts.
Many Mayo residencies and fellowships require trainees to author a scientific paper as a curriculum requirement. Most residents and fellows submit their work for publication.

The journal, which began in 1926 as a record of papers presented at meetings of the Mayo staff, has a worldwide readership of more than 130,000.
Mayo Alumni, a quarterly publication of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association, serves as a conduit of communication that provides a lifelong connection between Mayo and its alumni.
