Qualifications
Qualified applicants must have a Minnesota State Medical License have successfully completed an approved residency in orthopedics, plastic surgery or general surgery.
Foreign medical school graduates must have satisfactorily completed the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), English and Visa Qualifying Examination (VQE), or the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination in the Medicine Sciences (FMGEMS) to be eligible.
Appointments are made through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Candidates eligible for admission outside the NRMP also are given consideration.
