Program Description
The one-year Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship offers advanced training in:

  • Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, focusing on endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
  • Non-credentialing exposure to other advanced techniques such as Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Double Balloon Enteroscopy, Endoscopic Mucosal Resection and Barrett’s Ablation

It is intended for physicians who are planning a career in gastroenterology as an investigative and consultative therapeutic endoscopist.

Accreditation
This training program is a non-accredited one year program. At this time accreditation does not exist for this variety of advanced training.

Program History
The Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship began in 2006 and will accept its first trainee to begin the program in 2007. It is anticipated that one fellow will complete this fellowship annually.
