Qualifications
Senior medical students can apply for a three- or four-year residency position at Mayo Clinic through the National Residency Match Program (NRMP).

The four-year program includes PGY-1 training in Internal Medicine. Transitional Year programs are available in Jacksonville and Scottsdale for applicants who wish to train at these sites. Three-year programs also are available for residents who wish to complete their PGY-1 training at another accredited academic center.

Graduates from medical school who are currently in a non-anesthesia training program may also apply for a residency position. These appointments are made outside the NRMP.
