Department and Faculty

The Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine includes nine board-certified pediatric critical care physicians, each of whom holds an academic appointment in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. All members of the faculty teach medical students, residents and fellows from other services rotating through the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and supervise patient care.

Mayo Clinic Children's Center includes more than 100 physicians specializing in more than 40 areas of pediatric and adolescent medicine. These physicians provide care ranging from routine prevention to complex surgical procedures. Annually, Mayo Clinic treats more than 50,000 children and adolescents, and admits more than 5,000 children.
