A number of Mayo Clinic departments and divisions participate in the Clinical Informatics Fellowship, including anesthesiology, critical care medicine and laboratory medicine.
Mayo Clinic's Clinical Informatics in Intensive Care laboratory also is an integral part of the fellowship. The laboratory is concerned with all aspects of development, testing, adoption and implementation of health information technologies in both research and clinical settings.
A multidisciplinary group of experts in clinical informatics from across Mayo Clinic comprise the faculty of the Clinical Informatics Fellowship.
You will be assigned a staff adviser to review your progress and career goals. You will meet with your adviser periodically throughout the fellowship to ensure that your educational needs are being met.
Many prominent professors visit Mayo Clinic each year. They present their work during lectures and participate in hospital rounds and informal discussions with trainees. You will be encouraged to take full advantage of these opportunities.
