Immunochemical Core Laboratory (ICL) staff consists of more than 10 full-time equivalents (FTEs), including a director and co-director, a laboratory assistant, five research technologists, four senior research technologists, a quality coordinator and a laboratory manager.
Investigators using the ICL benefit from the extensive depth of personnel experience; the average tenure of ICL technologists is 10 years. All technologists undergo annual competency training and also have documented training for the specific techniques and assays they perform.
Overseeing the ICL are Ravinder J. Singh, Ph.D., director, and George G. Klee, M.D., Ph.D., co-director. Dr. Singh provides expertise in the disciplines of endocrinology and chemistry and also has extensive experience with mass spectrometry techniques. Dr. Klee was the founding director of the ICL; he focuses on quality control and on keeping the lab's technology up to date.
