The Knowledge Translation Research Unit (K-TRU) focuses on translating the best available research findings into clinical practice through evidence synthesis, investigation of the patient-clinician encounter, and quality-of-care research. This type of research has also been referred to as "T2" or "T3" translational research, which focuses on getting the best available science into routine clinical care.
What we do:
- Knowledge synthesis research: Conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses
- Implementation research: Identify strategies to improve care processes in a manner consistent with the best available evidence
- Evaluation research: Develop new methods, improve the clinical encounter and conduct research to improve clinical decision-making
K-TRU is operated by the Knowledge and Evaluation Research Unit (KER) Unit.
