The Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCaTS) Education Resources is pleased to announce Felicity T. Enders, Ph.D., as the 2013 Educator of the Year.
Dr. Enders, an associate professor of biostatistics in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, was nominated by students and faculty within the predoctoral and postdoctoral programs for her outstanding contributions to mentoring scholars and to clinical and translational research education.
David O. Warner, M.D., director of CCaTS Education Resources, says Dr. Enders' contribution in pioneering the statistics theme is invaluable to the CCaTS education leadership team.
"Her involvement with faculty who teach statistical courses is vital and has made the theme strong and stable. She is a leader in role modeling how to integrate the curriculum within and among the themes. As the themes continue to evolve, her experience will guide us when introducing new faculty to the group," says Dr. Warner.

Dr. Enders' students report a high level of satisfaction with her curriculum, course materials, teaching style, knowledge, availability and willingness to help. Statistical courses are consistently mentioned by graduates as one of the most valuable aspects of their program.
