Tuition and Financial Aid
For students in the Clinical Research Coordination (CRC) Program, two tuition rates apply. While completing your track, you will be billed tuition separately for courses taken at Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS) and Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC).
- MSHS. Tuition rates for MSHS courses are based on a regional market analysis of both private and public institutions of higher education. The MSHS Education Committee sets tuition rates in September for the academic year commencing the following July. MSHS will charge $192 per credit for the 2013-2014 academic year. Books for all required MSHS courses are estimated to cost $1,633.
- RCTC. Tuition rates at RCTC are based primarily on your state of residence. Specific rate information is available on the RCTC website.
Financial aid assistance for both MSHS and RCTC courses is available through the RCTC Financial Aid Office. All RCTC students are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for any type of financial aid (grants, work study funds or loans). You must complete a new FAFSA each year you need financial aid. Applications are available in January.
Although financial aid applications are accepted throughout the year, there is a priority deadline for each semester. If you complete your application by the priority deadline, you will receive an award letter prior to the first disbursement date. Visit the RCTC financial aid website for more information.
The RCTC Financial Aid Office is notified of all MSHS tuition and book fees in order to consider them during aid qualification. You are responsible for purchasing required textbooks and arranging your own living accommodations and transportation.
