Investigators in the Experimental Therapeutics Program are dedicated to improving treatment for patients with cancer by overcoming limits of current cancer therapies; developing more-effective drugs through early clinical trials; and customizing treatment options through pharmacogenetics.
Supported by a large and multidisciplinary research team, the Experimental Therapeutics Program at Mayo Clinic promotes the development of new anti-cancer drugs, translating findings from clinical trials and the lab to the clinical setting for patient care.
Research focuses on identifying pharmacogenetics; studying signaling pathways; clarifying how anti-cancer drugs act on cancer cells and how cancer cells resist these drugs; and advancing and improving cancer therapeutics.
Contact the Experimental Therapeutics Program for information about its research on cancer drugs, including efforts to develop more-effective cancer drugs that pose fewer adverse side effects.
The Experimental Therapeutics Program is part of the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center with locations in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota.
