Study type

About this study
The purpose of this study is to pilot test and evaluate an existing tailored ALEX Research Portal to navigate Black and Hispanic adult cancer patients and their family members through referral to cancer clinical trials.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- An adult 18 to 100 years of age,
- Able to read English or Spanish at least an eighth-grade level,
- From a racial/ethnic background historically underrepresented in cancer clinical
trials (e.g. Blacks or African Americans and/or Hispanics or Latinos),
- Have an email account or the ability to receive texts,
- Willingness to be re-contacted,
- Be a resident of the state of Florida.
Exclusion Criteria:
- Unable to read English or Spanish at least at eighth-grade level
- Does not have an email account or the ability to receive texts
- Unwilling to be re-contacted
- Non resident of the state of Florida.
