Welcome to the Cardiovascular Epidemiology and Outcomes Research Group. This group promotes and advances research collaboration and interactions among investigators with expertise in epidemiology and outcomes research. The focus is on cardiovascular diseases at Mayo Clinic.
By means of meetings, seminars and other activities, the group fosters critical interactions with the goal of nurturing scientifically promising collaborations, mentorships, grant proposals and projects. In addition to promoting research and grant applications, the objective is to support and expand the mentoring and training of junior investigators, didactic training in cardiovascular epidemiology, and coordination of external collaborations in the field.
The focus is on coronary disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation and atherosclerosis. Members' interests include aging, frailty and multimorbidity, genetics and molecular epidemiology, and methods relevant to the analysis of observational data.
