Image Data Collection
The objective of this proposal is to provide a comprehensive, varied and unique collection of multimodal, multidimensional images prepared especially for use with ITK. This data will be defined, described and organized in a format suitable for ready use in demonstrating, testing and validating the performance, functionality, versatility and extensibility of the algorithms and constructs in ITK.
We will provide the National Library of Medicine with a suite of digital image data from different modalities at different resolutions consisting of different anatomic regions and different biologic specimens.
The detail and variety of this collection of data will be unique in comparison to any previous image dataset. Contributing to the uniqueness will be some large, very high resolution multimodal datasets. Many anatomic regions, both with and without disease, and some eclectic, unusual datasets difficult to obtain but nonetheless relevant to ITK will be included in the collection.
