Jayant A. Talwalkar, M.D., is a transplant hepatologist with training in health services and policy research. He is interested in how the organization and delivery of care within health systems affects the quality of care delivered to populations with chronic disease.

Dr. Talwalkar's research interests are pursued in collaboration with colleagues from the Division of Health Care Policy and Research and the Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery.

  • Economic impact of health care policy (health insurance coverage, reimbursement)

Significance to patient care

The research performed by Dr. Talwalkar and his colleagues contributes to identifying the safest, most efficient patient-centered strategies for delivering quality health care to populations with chronic disease.
