Summary

My research interests include innovative surgical approaches to cancer, inflammatory bowel disease (crohns and ulcerative colitis), and benign colorectal conditions such as diverticulitis and slow transit constipation. The efforts in the setting of cancer involve multiple areas such as the Mayo clinic cancer center, ACOSOG, and NCCTG.

As a highlight to the above interest, I have centered my research in minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and endoscopic treatments for colorectal conditions. Many of these techniques have led the way in new techniques and improved outcomes in patient care.
