To enhance its research strengths in neurodegenerative diseases, the Department of Neuroscience at Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking several faculty members at the level of associate professor or professor. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree or both.

Mayo Clinic in Florida is one of only a few institutions nationwide that focuses on both Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease research. Investigators are supported by strong clinical and neuropathologic resources, including an ALS Association-certified center; the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, with a focus on frontotemporal lobar degeneration; a large collection of banked blood and cerebrospinal fluid; and a brain bank for neurodegenerative disorders.

Faculty members — which include Guojun Bu, Ph.D.; Dennis W. Dickson, M.D.; Leonard Petrucelli, Ph.D.; and Steven G. Younkin, M.D., Ph.D. — have a broad range of research interests and are established geneticists, neurobiologists and clinicians.

Interested applicants should assemble a packet (in PDF format) that includes their curriculum vitae, a research plan and three letters of reference. All materials should be submitted by email to Leonard Petrucelli, Ph.D., chair, Department of Neuroscience.
