The current funding cycle (2012 to 2017) includes participation in three module projects:

  • Internet use and online social participation among individuals with traumatic brain injury
  • Resilience after traumatic brain injury
  • Test-retest reliability of Traumatic Brain Injury Model System Form II measures with people with traumatic brain injury

Additionally, local and collaborative research projects have resulted in 75 peer-reviewed publications and nearly 150 national and international presentations with the program. The Mayo Traumatic Brain Injury Model System has participated in several module projects over time. These include:

  • Vocational services in traumatic brain injury (TBI)
  • Participation (PART), a new measure of participation
  • Prospective observational study of screening and prophylaxis for deep vein thrombosis
  • Natural history of headaches after TBI
  • Sexuality after TBI
