The Mayo Clinic Udall Center of Excellence in Parkinson's Disease Research has four cores, consisting of the following:
- Administration (Core A). This core is led by Dennis W. Dickson, M.D., and provides scientific and fiscal oversight, review by external and executive committees, and education and outreach promotion for people with Parkinson's disease.
- Clinical (Core B). This core is led by Zbigniew K. Wszolek, M.D., and studies Parkinson's disease and progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) patients, as well as PSP and Lewy body dementia families.
- Genetics (Core C). This core is led by Owen A. Ross, Ph.D., and includes genotyping of patients and families.
- Neuropathology (Core D). This core is led by Dennis W. Dickson, M.D., and studies Parkinson's disease and PSP brains and biochemistry.
