Overview
The twofold mission of the Cell Biology Program of the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center is to:
- Define the molecular and cellular basis of neoplastic transformation, growth and metastasis.
- Provide insights into normal and aberrant functions of genetic lesions.
The Cell Biology Program focuses on four areas of research:
- Transcription, chromatin and epigenetics of cancer
- Mitosis, senescence and aging
- Cell signaling and receptor/membrane traffic
- Cell adhesion, migration and metastasis
