Dr. Hebl's research is helping improve outcomes in regional anesthesia use, including superior analgesia, reduced postoperative opioid requirements and shorter hospital stays.
Led by Dr. Hebl, the Regional Anesthesia Lab coordinates and conducts clinical research that examines the safety, efficacy and use of regional anesthetic techniques during the perioperative period.
The lab has numerous research projects, including the risk of postoperative neurological complications after regional anesthesia, anesthesia in seizure disorders, gabapentin for pain control and opioid exposure.
