Dr. Murray's lab is committed to helping overcome the challenges that make treating pancreatic cancer so daunting. Dr. Murray's research is leading toward methods for earlier detection, use of biomarkers for cancer screening, and tailored chemotherapy selection, which can ultimately improve outcomes for patients with pancreatic cancer.
Dr. Murray's lab is uncovering the mechanisms behind pancreatic cancer in order to promote the development of new screening and treatment options.
Research focuses on four main projects designed to characterize genes involved in the initiation and progression of pancreatic cancer, including several protein kinase C (PKC) isozymes.
