Men's health
Our investigators conduct research to find causes and solutions for a variety of men's health concerns. These include erectile dysfunction (ED) and Peyronie's disease, plus low sperm count, which also is known as oligospermia, and lack of sperm, also called azoospermia, among other conditions.
Areas of research in men's health include:
- Causes of Peyronie's disease, including possible genetic associations.
- Assessment of quality-of-life outcomes after penile prosthesis placement.
- New approaches for Peyronie's disease, including injections and shock wave therapy.
- Improvements in sperm extraction procedures for azoospermia.
- Post-vasectomy pain syndrome and long-term resolutions.
