About this study

The purpose of the study is to centralize collections of blood, urine, saliva and stool from patients diagnosed with infection in the urine, blood or ascites in patients with cirrhosis.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age 18-80

  • Confirmed diagnosis of cirrhosis based on imaging or biopsy along with appropriate history and clinical findings

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Unclear diagnosis of cirrhosis

  • Patient pregnant or lactating

  • Unwillingness of patient or legally authorized representative to provide informed consent
