A Study Of Orthopedic Surgeon Artificial Intelligence Virtual Assistant (AIVA) For Post-operative Education

About this study

The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate patient engagement and comprehension with AI-generated multimedia for post-operative education.

 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adult patients undergoing primary THA or TKA for osteoarthritis only

 

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Conversion or revision total joint procedures

  • Surgical complications outside the expected normal postoperative recovery

  • Failure to complete full post-operative education visit, including patient survey
