A Study Of Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy For Patient/caregiver Following Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

About this study

The purpose of this study is to test a new program called MCP-Dyad (Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy for Dyads). MCP-Dyad is a web-based support program that combines joint and individual sessions for both survivors and caregivers. The goal is to help both members of the pair (the "dyad") find meaning, cope with challenges, and strengthen their relationship during recovery.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patient and caregiver dyads where the patient has undergone hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old.

  • Not incarcerated.

  • Not pregnant.

  • Not institutionalized

  • No severe cognitive or psychiatric impairment that would impede informed consent or participation.

  • English-speaking.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Under 18 years old
