A Study Of The MAIA Ambient Scribe System On Endoscopy Report Generation Efficiency

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine whether use of the MAIA ambient scribe system reduces the time required to generate an endoscopy report compared with the standard Epic Lumens workflow.

 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adults aged 18 years or older

  • Undergoing a clinically indicated colonoscopy.

  • Procedure performed by a participating endoscopist trained in both the standard and MAIA study workflow

 

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Emergent procedures where study workflow would interfere with clinical care

  • Cases with major intra-procedural complications that substantially alter routine documentation workflow

  • Cases in which audio capture or MAIA system operation fails

  • Cases missing timing data for either documentation method

  • Procedures for which a complete paired comparison cannot be obtained

  • IBD and Polyposis patients.
